The four levels of physical fitness are:
- Sedentary: This level indicates a lack of regular physical activity or exercise. A sedentary lifestyle typically involves sitting or reclining for long periods of time and getting very little exercise.
- Active: This level indicates that a person engages in regular physical activity or exercise, but may not be at an optimal level of fitness. This level of fitness typically involves moderate-intensity activities such as walking, cycling, or swimming.
- Fit: This level indicates a high level of physical fitness. A person at this level typically engages in regular, vigorous exercise and has good cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and flexibility.
- Athletic: This level indicates an extremely high level of physical fitness and is typically associated with competitive athletes. People at this level typically have exceptional cardiovascular health, muscular strength, and flexibility, as well as specialized skills and training in a particular sport or activity.
